I personally don’t think on-line dating sites are all that great of an idea. For one thing, you have no idea who you’re getting involved with until it’s too late. You could be dealing with a great personality, only to find out that the picture they posted is a friend of theirs or a even a random stranger. Then again, even if they’re honest and use their own pic, what other warts do they have? (figuratively speaking)
But if you absolutely have to try these things, it only makes sense to at least avoid spending money on it. “Just Say Hi” is one such free site. It features a message forum where you can ‘meet’ and ‘talk’ with people online in a (sorta) public situation.
You can also narrow your choices by geographic location. If you’re in Alabama for example, you can search for potential mates in Birmingham or Mobile.
