Well it’s official. The Iphone release is underway and the little buggers are flying off the shelves. It’s honestly ridiculous. These things are selling for five and six hundred dollars and they come complete with a two year service plan at $59 bucks a month.
I just can’t see spending that kind of money on a phone, nor can I see how the blasted thing is all that important. What tears it is the 11 year old girl I saw on the news talking about getting her new Iphone. Call me old fashioned, but there’s very few 11 year old kids that have any need for ANY kind of cell phone and even if there was a need, she can forget getting a five hundred dollar Iphone.
As for me, I’ll probably own an Iphone after they start giving them away in cereal boxes.

$500 for a phone for an 11 yr old is crazy. When it’s time for my kid to have a cell phone she’ll be getting my old one whenever my next upgrade happens.
