…and starts out making a bundle! In it’s first day in theaters it’s raked in a cool $27.4 million. That breaks the $15.7 million dollar record previoulsy set by Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest.
Based on the previews I’ve seen combined with the knowledge that Industrial Light & Magic did the effects for it, I fully expect it to be a lot of fun to watch… And that’s without even knowing any details about the story.
If it turns out that they’ve managed to do a decent story it ought to be a very successfull run. Heck, I haven’t even seen it yet and I’m already wondering if they’re planning a sequel.

Man is it out already? Time goes by too fast. I’m going to have to add it to the movies I want to see this summer.
