Ever thought of becoming a Landlord?

Y’know, someday I think it’d be pretty cool to own a bunch of rental properties. Assuming they’re in good condition from the start and I get good tenants in them it could easily turn out to be a good income. Granted, nothing is going to be a free ride and being a landlord would have it’s problems but after looking over Rentals.com I think finding good tenants wouldn’t have to be one of the problems. Because a site like that would put my property out there where literally millions of potential tenants would be able to see it.
And they would see it. Thanks to digital cameras it’s no problem at all to take a bunch of pictures of the property inside and out and use them to let people have a good look around before they even come near the place. Since Rentals.com doesn’t limit the number of photos per ad, I’d make sure to use enough pictures to show the entire place in plenty of detail.
Placing an ad turns out to be easy enough, you start out by registering with the site ( or logging in if you’ve already registered). Then comes the choice of type of ad. Standard, Featured or Premier. Next you fill in the details about the property. After that they take you to an image manager where you upload your pictures. When you’re done with this you’re ready to take care of payment. As soon as you’re done with payment the ad is ‘live’ in their system. If for any reason something doesn’t rent before the ad expires it gets saved and can be renewed later.
I like the idea of using this kind of service because of the much wider reach it has compared to running local print ads. Though if you’re nostalgic, Rentals.com also gives a free yard sign with each listing.
