Swedish Woman Gets Superfast Internet
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - She is a latecomer to the information superhighway, but 75-year-old Sigbritt Lothberg is now cruising the Internet with a dizzying speed. Lothberg’s 40 gigabits-per-second fiber-optic connection in Karlstad is believed to be the fastest residential uplink in the world, Karlstad city officials said.
It’s due to a new modulation technique on a fiber optic Internet connection and it’s blowing away any illusions of there being any kind of reason for internet access to be less than blazing fast and accessible anywhere.

It is really amazing how internet technology is expanding and evolving so rapidly. Broadband, fiber optic, DSL, ISDN, Sattelite all these technologies are really fantastic.
Yeah, I’m sure it’s cheap to do, but we’ll be charged an arm and a leg for it if it becomes available.
