Digital Camera, something to get someday

Like many people, I’ve got a digital camera. Mine is, compared to current state of the art, a dinosaur… it takes pictures limited to 320×200 pixels, no zoom, no flash and no special features… not even a preview screen. I’ve also got a webcam, It does a little better in that it can take 640×480 pixel pictures and can also make video at 15 frames / sec. It plugs into a USB port and given the right software, is fairly useable if not portable.
While I’m not as into photography as my brother is, Once in a while I do want to get a good picture and I’d still someday like to get a “good” camera that has most, if not all, of the bells and whistles. Just for the heck of it I was looking at digital cameras on www.ritzcamera.com and found a whole raft of digital SLR Nikon cameras that I’d have to put on my “get it someday” list. Looking around sites like that start me thinking how cool it’d be to have a modern digital camera even if I didn’t actually use it very often.
