Quick Review of www.1-800-4clocks.com

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This website is another one of the shrinking number that are still able to fit in an 800x600 screen. It's done with a simplicity of design that makes the most out of the left sidebar menu that links to pages where a visitor can browse the site by type of clock or by manufacturer from Howard Miller clocks to Seth Thomas clocks with the main part of the page given over to thumbnail images of their inventory of clocks.

As for variety they seem to carry just about every type of clock from wall clocks to grandfather clocks and even atomic clocks. I took some time to look around the site a bit and found quite a bit of interesting clock designs. I really liked the Howard Miller Grafton II Grandfather Clock with it's open look, the only problem would be stretching our home to fit it in (sadly, houses don't take very well to "stretching").

They've also got a blog about clocks and a wide range of related topics, one entry was about atomic clocks discussed a little bit about how they work and the incredible precision that you can get from them which is the reason that anyone who's serious about accurate time will set their clocks according to one of the atomic clocks run by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. If you have any interest in clocks this site and the clock blog will make for some interesting reading and browsing at http://www.1-800-4clocks.com.
