Million Dollar Video Ad

You might remember a while back when somebody (in England I believe) set up a web page that had one million one pixel images on it. The concept was that you could buy pixels for a dollar each and have it linked back to your site. I understand that the project worked very well and now MillionDollarWebTV.com is doing something similar.
When you first visit the site you can tell right away that it's not your ordinary advertising site and when you see the count of pixels remaining it's pretty clear what the basic idea is and the 'About Us' page has an FAQ to answer the basic questions.
Placing an ad is easy, all thats required is click the 'Set Up' link and follow the instructions. You can go through the entire setup process without committing to the order so that you can revise all the details to get everything just so. Basically you buy blocks of pixels and fill them with a graphic, When somebody clicks on the image they are presented with your video in a small pop-up player.
There's two things that make this site different. One is that when you buy space there they're committing to keep it up there for ten years or more. Long term exposure like this isn't something you see very much on the Internet. The other is that they have a profit sharing plan that is probably going to get a lot of members fast as the site grows.
They've also got a blog where they publish news and information about the site. This project looks like it's got plenty of potential for success. I'd say that it's definitely worth spending some time to check out. With a tagline like "Join Our Web TV Ad-venture at MillionDollarWebTV.com" you can tell that they're serious about growing this venture quickly. I fully expect to see their 'Available Pixels' number dropping quickly.
