As far as I know, this is a first. A blogger in China has taken a stand against internet censorship.. He’s sued his ISP because of blog postings that disappeared with no explanation.

China Censors Ratchet Up Web Monitoring

BEIJING (AP) - At first, Liu Xiaoyuan just fumed when his online journal postings disappeared with no explanation. Then he decided to do something few if any of China’s censored bloggers had tried. He sued his service provider.

Of course there’s no telling what, if any, good results he’ll get or whether this will do anything to slow down or stop Chinese government censorship of the Internet but it’s at least a step in the right direction… he’s making some noise.
