I guess most IT people know that Cisco is one of the leading suppliers of networking equipment such as Routers, Switches and security related stuff like hardware firewalls and intrusion detection gear. Well, it looks like it's getting easier to get Cisco products. Today I saw a site, Network Hardware Resale, that's dealing in not just new but also in refurbished and used cisco routers.
Since this stuff is refurbished and checked out, the fact that it's been used doesn't take anything away from it's value and can save a bunch of money over buying all brand new equipment. Looking through some of their offerings I see that they've got a wide assortment of stuff from routers to VOIP telephone equipment, access servers and a whole assortment of accessories from power supplies to server racks.
Another thing about this site is that they've got a fair amount of older legacy products which means that when that old router dies, it can be replaced with the same type instead of having to spend even more time and money doing an expensive upgrade to new equipment. Maintaining an existing network suddenly gets a lot easier to do when you don't have to spend time trying to patch new stuff into the old system and chase down the bugs that almost inevitably pop up out of nowhere in a project like that.
