Phone Co. Cuts Off FBI

Ok, I don’t think that they actually cut off the FBI’s phones but what they have done is to disconnect phone lines that were set up to deliver evidence to send surveillance results to the FBI because the bills hadn’t been paid.
According to an AP story about this, There’s also been at least one case where one of those super-secret FISA wiretaps was dropped because of “untimely payment”. It almost seems odd really but then again in today’s world of fiber cable and wireless networks, wiretaps don’t always mean just tapping into a hardline.
In any case, it’s kinda sad really, when federal agencies get so bogged down in BS that important bills get so late that essential services can get cut off and end up with investigations slowed or fouled up worse because of evidence lost in the process.
