Pardon me. Do You Have Any Grey Poupon?

Grey PouponI couldn't resist using that line for the title of this one because I've been asked to try a couple of Grey Poupon Mustards and tell what I think of them. I received two jars, one each of a couple of new varieties of Grey Poupon. One is the "Hearty Spicy Brown" and the other is "Harvest Coarse Ground".

I've always liked most kinds of mustard so this is really an easy review to do. Both of these have their own unique tastes and while some might consider the Spicy Brown to be a little hot because it's made with Horseradish, I thought that the Horseradish had just enough presence to compliment the mustard. Combined with the fine diced onions those three main ingredients make for a taste that has a touch of a kick, yet can really compliment whatever you use it on or in.

The Harvest Coarse Ground has an unusual appearance because it's made with whole mustard seeds. This gives it a unique appearance and a flavor that I think of as being a mustard of mustards.

Both of these have a lot of flavor and will absolutely remind you that you're not using a basic plain yellow prepared salad mustard but not so much that it'll overpower a sandwich or any recipe that you'd think to use them in. I personally like both of them and I'll most definitely be using them again (and again and again and again)
