Memory Pacemakers For The Brain
Welcome back!
The one thing that comes to mind with this story is why haven't we heard about this before now? Specifically, some scientists accidentally discover that a form of deep brain stimulation of part of the hypothalamus.
They were trying to influence this guy's appetite in an experimental approach to weight control when the current they sent into his brain caused him to remember old memories. Over time after that, his memory continued to improve.
Right now they're doing more trials and experiments to see if they can develop a kind of pacemaker to stimulate the brains of Alzheimer's patients. If this works there could suddenly be some real hope for the thousands of people suffering from that debilitating disease.

If it works it could help millions of people but it could also pave the way for hiding information in the brain and extracting it via this method as well.
Given the incredible complexity of not only the human brain, but also the human mind. I think *That* possibility is a bit far off yet.
