Micro$oft Spinning Wheels With Vista Update
Welcome back!
According to a recent item on Zdnet, Micro$oft's attempt to fix Vista is not only a failure in terms of doing any real good to improve vista, it's also a failure in their attempt to stop "non genuine" installs from working.
Once again it's proving that determined people are not going to be stopped and that every lock or security system can eventually be broken. Especially if there's enough skilled and determined people working on it. As it is, I think the boys in Redmond ought to quit trying so hard to DRM and pirate proof the blasted thing, invest some of the money they're spending on that in a set of beer pong tables and work out their aggressions in a tournament setting.
They need to realize that what they SHOULD be doing is concentrating on making things faster, more efficient and easier for developers and users to work with. Of course, if they do that, they'll end up creating a linux clone but what the heck.
