The Problem With Online Videos

Welcome back!

Don't get me wrong, I like online videos, they can be entertaining as well as instructive. However because My Computer's speakers are not equipped with headphone jacks, I'm limited in when I can do much with videos because the headphones would have to be plugged directly into my sound card which is located all the way on the back of my tower. Unfortunately, online videos don't have closed captioning and the various players aren't equipped to interpret it if they did.

I know, somebody's going to say that all I need to do is get a speaker set that has a handier place to plug the headset... and I will... probably next summer when I can spare the change from more important things. I could also try to wire some kind of connection that would at least bring the plug for the speakers out front where I can reach it conveniently. Mostly I'm going to put off listening to the videos until I won't be distracting my wife with them. (that's called being a smart husband ;-) )
