MediaSentry Violates Cease And Desist Order

Back on January 8, the Massachusetts State Police ordered the RIAA’s investigator, MediaSentry, to stop conducting investigations in their state without a license. Now it turns out that they’re in violation of that order.
To say the very least, this kind of thing is going to punch some major gaping holes in the RIAA’s continued efforts to continue suing everybody they can think might be thinking about downloading something without their blessing.
In the end, when it’s all said and done, both the RIAA and the MPAA will fade into history as a sore spot in the history of “big content” vs everybody else. A battle that “Big content” is going to lose.
