Ballmer Calls Vista “A Work In Progress”

Steve Ballmer was talking at the MVP Summit where he is quoted as saying that Vista is “a work in progress”. I can’t help admire such skill in the art of understatements. Calling Vista “a work in progress” is like gathering weeds in the field and calling it fine bedding that happens to be “a work in progress”.
Whatever happened to “the customer is always right?”
Steve, I gotta tell ya, Vista isn’t just a work in progress, it’s a complete, utter, undeniable, failure. It’s bigger, slower, requires expensive high end hardware and generally irritates the s**t out of people. In fact, the only thing I can think of offhand that’s more irritating is your blind insistence that XP be taken off market when clearly there are tens of thousands of customers that PREFER XP to it’s Idiot relative Vista.
You would do far better to spend time, effort, and money on refining XP and extending it’s life until you have another OS that people actually want and don’t have to be talked into. As it is, if you keep up with this Vista nonsense you’re going to end up being one of the biggest reasons for the growth of the Linux market share since Linus Torvalds.

Because it is work in progess, Xp is still much better then Vista. And Linux, Debian for example is much much more stable then any Win. system.
Interesting, I started using Linux because of the nonsense in XP. I guess each person has their own breaking point.
