The Secret History of Star Wars is an interesting site I just ran into where you can download a 524 page ebook that goes into a lot of detail covering the inside stories of all things Star Wars. It doesn’t stay strictly with the official LucasFilm version of things, instead trying to reveal what was really going on and how things really went down in the creation, development and making of not only Star Wars but also the sequels and prequels.
Little things like Star Wars was originally going to be a twelve part story, then it was cut to nine parts and finally it ended up as the six that we know today.
This ebook (actually just a big .PDF file) is NOT authorized by LucasFilm. In fact, Because LucasFilm has such a lock on all things Star Wars is a big part of why it’s presented online for free.
My only complaint about the site is the choice of colors. It uses a foreground color of #806C59 (a light brownish-tan color ) on a white background that I found difficult to read without highlighting the text.
Aside from that, it’s an interesting read for anyone into Star Wars.
