Where’s the FAT? FAT32 that is. Apparently another one of the many things that have changed in veesta is that it no longer supports formatting a disk or partition in FAT32. This is unfortunate because there are times when FAT32 is still needed. Things like removable media such as floppies (yeah, some people still use them), flash drives, CD-ROM’s and so on.

Fortunately, you can find a tool that will format FAT32 partitions and disks almost as easily as you can say Linksys router three times fast.

You’ll find a handy guide for FAT32 formatting, Including a tool that works in veeesta, on this page. what’s really cool about this tool is that it’s also useful in XP as well because it is not subject to the artificial 32GB partition size limit that microsoft imposed. This goodie can format 2 terabyte partitions in FAT32.
