Dymo’s Tips

I remember back when the dinosaurs still roamed the Earth (ok, maybe it wasn’t *quite* that long ago) when the Dymo label maker first showed up in stores. Looking at their website you can see that it’s come a long way since those first days of the sometimes cantankerous early models of the now infamous label makers. For one thing, they’ve now got a whole range of Color labels instead of the plain black they started out with.
Not long after they first appeared I just had to have one and when I did, I found all kinds of things to use it for. If labels came off of canned goods quick, get out the labelmaker and stick a label on the can before you forgot what was in it.
I had those black plastic labels on everything for a while. Cabinets, shelf space, drawers were all labeled as to what belonged in each spot. Trays and boxes for hobby supplies were labeled. I used them for labeling notebook dividers by subject and of course, I was one of those kids that, for a while, had to put a label on everything I owned saying it was mine.
Since then I’ve stopped putting labels on absolutely everything but at the same time, they’re very useful for a lot of things. Not to mention the fact that the technology has come a long way in thirty-some years and their labeling and printing solutions are industry leaders for a world of home and business applications. Their Tips and Advice page is loaded with a bunch of examples of how their label makers can be useful.
