How’d He Get Into That Mess?

In today’s world debt has become the monster on the backs of many people. It’s actually become commonplace for people to be so far in debt that they end up losing not only their homes, but just about everything else of value that they own as well.
The scenario is all too familiar. Joe starts out by getting student loans to pay for college. Then he gets a credit card. Originally it’s “for emergencies only” but he soon discovers that it’s just SO convenient to pay for things with the credit card instead of cash or writing out a check and then paying the credit card bill once a month.
Things go like this until eventually he graduates and goes out job hunting. Suddenly there’s more expenses than usual on the credit card. It’s a strain but he makes it until the job starts paying. Then things ease off for a bit. After a while he gets married to the girl of his dreams and they start a family. Now the expenses start mounting faster than ever.
They buy a house, furniture and all the things that go along with providing for that baby that’s on the way. This has debt hitting the credit card faster than he can pay it off. It’s not a problem (yet) because he can still keep up with it. The interest isn’t that much and he’s only carrying a small balance.
Then he gets sick or maybe there’s an accident and he spends time in the hospital. Bills mount up faster than ever now because of the medical expenses. The credit card is still working but since he’s off work the balance is mounting faster than ever. Next thing you know he’s reached the limit and the spending stops cold. Problem is though that he still can’t make payments until after he gets back to work and he needs every cent just to keep a roof over his family.
Joe eventually finds out about Credit card debt help that he can get at bills.com. What he learns there shows him how to manage his debt and get everything paid off and back under control. Joe then resolves to be a lot more conservative about how he uses that credit card in the future.
