Program Can Alter Your Appearance For The Better

There’s a new program, the result of work by some researchers in Israel that can apparently alter an image of a face to make it appear more attractive.
This isn’t however, a reason to abandon the diet pills, exercise and whatever other stuff you’ve got that goes along with losing weight being more fit. All this thing does is alter the geometry of the face. It moves some of the features around a tiny bit.
It’s not doing any airbrush work or other retouching, just changing the geometry of the face. The problem here is that it’s determinations of what is or is not attractive is currently based on a smallish sampling:
is based on the responses of 68 men and women, age 25 to 40, from Israel and Germany, who viewed photographs of white male and female faces and picked the most attractive ones.
In order for something like this to really be effective I can’t help think it would need a MUCH larger database to draw on. Honestly, I think it might do more toward understanding what various groups of people consider attractive than anything else and the only major use I can see for that is in the advertising and public relations industries.
Probably zero practical applications in this one.
