Telecom Immunity Passed, EFF Still Fighting

The Congress finally manage to pass the recent FISA Amendments Act in spite of serious opposition from the EFF and a lot of other concerned citizens and organizations all across the country. Fortunately, even though it’s been passed, the fight to get the telecoms held accountable for participating in illegal, warrantless domestic spying is continuing.

Trimming The Fat: Improving Blog Performance

Welcome back! One of the things that I’ve seen on a lot of blogs is that it’s entirely too easy for things to get so loaded down with unneeded or unused stuff that ends up serving only to make the blog load slower. Slower loading blogs are a lot less likely to get returning visitors [...]

7 reasons I don't like your blog

Autoplay Music:
If you MUST have music on your site, then make the embeded player visible and let me click something to start it. You have no idea if I’m listening to something of my own, if I am, your site taking over my speakers and walking all over my Mozart concertos with your idea [...]

Web Design And Style Meet At www.stylishdesign.com

Stylish design is a web designing blog that does more than just cover and re-cover the same kind of things that most web-design gurus have been writing since forever. It brings the matter of style into the equation.

What's In a Name?

In my case, I’ve got two blogs named “Dilithium Crystalworks”. The situation came about some time ago when I bought a domain, dilithiumcrystalworks.com, that I was [...]

Changes ...

No doubt you’ve noticed that I’ve changed the title to include “(old version)”. The reason for this is that I’m going to be migrating from a subdomain to a full domain name. Over the next few months I’ll be phasing out this subdomain version in favor of the one that’s running on http://dilithiumcrystalworks.com/.
One [...]

Unranked

That’s the new status for Dilithium Crystalworks.
At least, that’s what the report was the last time I checked at it’s pagerank as reported by the SearchStatus plugin for Firefox. This means that they’ve apparently gone one step farther than just reducing the pagerank to zero and removed any rank at all.
Could this be the [...]
