This is in spite of the fact that there are still a lot of un-answered questions about how they’re going to comply with privacy laws and what this is going to do to fourth amendment rights. It’s very possible that use of this kind of surveillance will be in violation of forth amendment protections if used beyond a certain magnification.

In a recent entry, “Where Is IPV6?“, I wondered about the fact that with all the noise about IPV4 address space running out it struck me as a little disturbing that the continent of Africa was making the transition to IPV6 a heck of a lot faster than the rest of the world.

Aftrica is leading the world in the adoption of IPV6 addressing. I realize that African ISPs and networks aren’t exactly a dime a dozen, so they’ve got less to adapt and change. Plus the fact that because they’ve so much less established stuff there, they can adopt the new IPV6 ready equipment and software right from the start.

Aside from having some idea what you’re going to do with a website, perhaps the single most important thing is deciding where you’re going to host the site. Any serious business or blog is going to need to be on a domain that isn’t just a sub domain of free hosting service.

Word is out on Slashdot that the US Department of Justice has hired Sanford Litvack, formerly of Disney to get out his legal swimwear and get ready for a possible anti-trust suit against Google.
