There’s been a fair amount of talk lately about Hushmail and whether it’s still “safe” to use. This has apparently originated with a post on cyptome that cast some doubt on the .jar file for the applet that they use. This was later corrected, apparently somebody compared the wrong files.

In spite of the fact that Google, Yahoo, Ask, Microsoft and a dozen or so others pretty much have the search engine market locked up there are still new sites popping up all the time. One of the youngest of these is “Cuil” {pronounced “Cool” }, in Internet terms it’s not even teenage yet.

That’s a question that has to be answered by anyone that’s planning to create a website. Yes, there’s a bunch of “free” hosting solutions out there and that’s fine if you’re just talking about a personal page you’re building about you’re pet robot collection. If on the other hand you’re talking about a website, forum, blog or whatever that needs to be reliable, fast and responsive then that’s another matter.
